Grrrrrr!!!

Sorry for the ads, guys. They are not my doing! I hate ads. So if you are offended by these ads please do not blame me. I'll try to get rid of them. They'll appear at the tippy top of my blog after five seconds. (I counted) I'll see if I can get rid of them.

P.S. :(

Such a Hatred...

...for God. I found out on this NYC trip that a LOT of people hate God. One lady passed the paint board (for those of you who don't know, the organization I was with, Open Air Campaigners, preaches on the streets while painting the message out on a board) and heard something about Jesus or God. Immediately, she started cussing up a storm about how she didn't want to here about some Jesus Christ. Those weren't her exact words if you catch my meaning.
But it's true! There are so many people out there that hate God. And some that HATE HATE HATE God. Now I ask, and so might you, why? Why hate our all powerful, loving, forgiving God? Well, I think, for one they are, in a way, control freaks. They want to be in control of their lives, their fate, their destiny. Selfishness   is what it boils down to. Their, their, their. In their own words, mine, mine, mine.
Another reason might be 'cause they wonder How could such a great God allow so  much evil in this world? Wouldn't he put a stop to it?
This is one of the main questions that I will cover in my novel. (My still unnamed novel) It is a good question. Why?
According to the Bible, Adam and Eve took the fruit from the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. They sinned. And ever since then, every human being born into existence (except Christ) has had sin nature. There is no stopping it. We are all sinners.
So here we were separated from God by sin. And headed towards eternal separation in Hell. Then God saw our need and sent his son, Jesus Christ, to die on a tree and take the sins of the world on his shoulders. EVERY sin that has ever or will ever be committed was taken on his shoulders.
But that doesn't mean we will all go to heaven. No. To accept God's gift of eternal life with him, we must turn from our sins. Repent from our sins. Then we must trust in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
A third reason that one might hate God. They love their sin. They love being in their sin. And they don't want any part of turning from their sins and loving a God. They God.
Well, sorry for this post's longness. If you have any questions or disagreements please don't hesitate to post them.

Three Parts!!!

This just in, the Hobbit has been transformed from two parts to three!!! Not sure how I feel about this. I guess it means that they won't leave anything out from the book. But on the flip side, one book three parts? Seems highly impossible. But I trust Peter Jackson. He'll do a good job.

I'm Back!!!

Got back from NYC last night. What a trip it was! I had the unique opportunity to witness to three different individuals. It was awesome! I also got to preach a message to some kids at a park. All in all, it was a great week.

"Brave" Movie Review

I have come to disapprove of the Plugged In Christian Movie Reviews. I have thought that it was more of the reviewer's opinion than an unbiased opinion. So I just decided that I would start doing Christian reviews of my own. (Though I will have a section labeled my opinion). Her it goes.

Basic Plot:
The main character, Merida, is being forced to marry by here mother. She rides into the forest enraged that here mother would try something so mindlessly. She stumbles into a witch's house and gets a spell that will change here mother so that here fate would be changed. When she uses the spell on here mother she changes into a bear. For the rest of the movie Merida is trying to change here mother back to a human.

Positive Elements:
There was some very funny humour in this movie. Merida's little brother and father mostly. Other than that I cannot think of any other positive elements.

Negative Elements:
At one point one of the kingdom's head honcho's moons two others. Nothing is shown to the audience. Later on, at least five men are shown buck naked from behind. As are Merida's three little brothers.
Merida does not treat her mother with respect at all and is shown yelling at here more than once. And twisting here words around.
The entire movie is about controling your own fate. But really it's God that is in control not us.
There's magic wisps, a witch, and spells. Also people get turned into bears!

My Opinion:
Disney messed this movie up BIG time. I was etremely disappointed in this movie. I urge you not to waste a single cent on it.

Hope this helped.

One Cry

Like my blog's new layout? I thought the red was getting old and a little flowery. But that's besides the point, check out this website! The website itself can explain what it's about better than I can. Link: http://www.onecry.com/

P.S. Check out the new poll.

The Skeleton Project

This is Wayne Thomas Batson's newest published work! It is his first ever self published book! Now first let me clarify. It is not a book but a short story. Hence why it only costs $1.29. Anyway it is the first of six or seven (and more to come). Also this is more of a comedy, in my opinion, than a supernatural/thriller/mystery thingy. I did find myself chuckling at the characters witty remarks and quirks. A funny story and can't wait for more!

P.S. Spread the word about it! Since he self published it it's harder to market. So write about it on your blog, Facebook, twitter, and what ever website you can! Thanks!

Parables

Two days ago I started another writing project! I started to rewrite the parables of Luke in an intriguing way. Hopefully, I can convey the true message of each parable. They will be written in today's time. I am halfway done with the first. I will post it here once I am done.

Polls

From now on, every week I'll be putting up a new poll! Just for fun. The first one is something I have often asked myself. Check it out on the side of this blog!
